Having issues creating a war file that will load correctly in Apache. Have tried using different versions of Servoy and nothing has worked. The same app has been running on an AWS server under an Apache server for over a year. Client wants to move the app back to their local in-house server. This was suppose to be working 4 months ago. not sure of answer, but be aware
Servoy >= 2025.9 requires Tomcat 11
and after some recent release (you will need to check release notes…) Java 21 is needed

Using Servoy 2022. Apache Tomcat is the most recent version. Have checked all dependencies multiple times. Have also tried creating the war file from a clean install of Servoy on a different system. Managed to get it working once but the app wasn’t functioning as it should so delete that version. Now the NG client won’t load. At a loss as to what the issue is.

For Servoy 2022 you need Tomcat 8.5 or 9.
I think there are ways to make it work with Tomcat 10, but might not be worth the effort
I’ve lost track of what versions we’ve tried. Current attempt is using Servoy Version: 2022.3.0.3741_rc2 and Tomcat 9.0

Tomcat will log any errors in its logs as it tries to load you war. In the past I have used these to identify problems in the war file or configuration. What kind of errors are you seeing?
The error we’re getting now isn’t with Tomcat. When creating the war file we get an NG Export error. Even on a clean install of Servoy on a new system we get the NG Export error. It seems that every time we resolve one issue another one pops up.
I just want to hire someone who can look at this with fresh eyes and get it working.

We had this issue in the past, and it turned out to be our firewall blocking access to external build servers. We had to allow specific IP addresses through our firewall to get the NG build to complete successfully. We found the blocked IP addresses in the firewall IDS/IPS logs. I hope this helps!
2022 is an unsupported Servoy version.
I guess you need to make sure you don’t export NG2 (that is a command line argument)
It could be that that for some reason doesn’t build anymore of out dated packages (or some packages are 2 new for the core stuff)
Please upgrade to a supported version (24.03 LTS at minimum)
24.03 or 25.03 needs the Tomcat 9
The last current release needs Tomcat 11
