MailPro plugin version 2.2.3 released

We have updated the MailPro plugin to version 2.2.3. The new version offers a convenience method to connect to google mail (GmailAccount), that makes a connection by simply providing the user name and the password. POP3 accounts have been enhanced by SSL support and several problems related to Java 6 have been resolved.

The update is free for registered users and is available from our website.

Hi Patrick,

What doe the Google connection do? Does it just automate the login process or does it also allow integration of Servoy webclient with Gmail in some way?

Hello Dean,

the GMail account makes all the settings for you. It has nothing to do with webclient in any way. What were you thinking of when asking for webclient integration?

Patrick

We are thinking of a webclient solution that has an Email link on the left side of the page. When the user clicks on the Email link he would be automatically logged into Gmail and the Gmail web page would appear within the webclient page.

If emails for our current webclient contact could automatically appear, that would be a big plus.

So from what I understand you want to “deep link” into gmail, passing a filter for the messages to be shown. That is really “all web” (or at least “all google”) and nothing for the plugin.

If you have downloaded all messages using the plugin (creating your own email interface that would work with all kinds of mail servers), then, of course, you can simply search the database (or the IMAP server) for the contact.

Exactly! Thank you for explaining that it does not require a plugin.
Does anyone know how to do this with a “deep link”?
