MenuBar Wizard

First off my aplogoies if Iam asking the obvious as Iam new to Servoy and evaluating it. In the Developer Reference Guide page 609 it states :

“IT2BE Menubar wizard to help create your
custom menu(s). Go to Tools > Plugins > IT2BE Help > Menubar Wizard to open
the Menubar Wizard.”

Sorry but I can’t seem to find any reference link to that Wizard in Servoy Devloper. Can somebody please show me where to find this as Iam trying to understand how the menubar plugin works. I’ve also looked at the example solution CRM in the form frm_nav_main can I assume it uses the same menubar as its not obvious.

Thanks.

Is this from our manual (IT2BE) or that of Servoy?

If the first and you are working with Servoy 3.5 it should be there.
If the latter and/or you are working with Servoy 4.0 this reference is wrong and not available (not sure about that though).

Servoy 4 and Its one of the servoy manuals.

If the link is wrong in the manual is there a wizard to use the menubar (or some further help ?) or an example piece of code in the libraries I can look at it ? Iam learning all of this from the start so its a bit hard to follow and to get working without being able to see from an example or through a wizard?

If you installed the example files then there is a servoy_wizard_menubar.servoy in the solutions directory.
I think this is what you are looking for.

Hope this helps.

Yes it probably is except how do you open it into Servoy ? Ideally double click or open file yet Servoy doesn’t like this. Does it need to be imported through Developer? I tried to import it via the File System but couldn’t see how I could open it as a solution. I imported it into the examples and expected to see it when I went through the new projects and select it like the other examples except it wasn’t found.

This surely is a simple process ?

Yummy:

In Tano (Servoy 5.0) it is yes. In 4.x it isn’t.
In 4.x you need to import it into the repository via the Servoy-Admin pages (thus on the server). After import you can check it out into the Developer.

In Servoy 5 you can import (see File > Import > Servoy > Import Solution) straight into the workspace (Developer).

Hope this helps.

Thanks.
Another thing when a form is defined with Table View (locked) how do you get the column name to appear ?

You can set the text property of the field.
