we installed a version of our solution at a client site
today, and when we started servoy, most of the menus were
missing - on two different machines.
the only menu that shows is the “Servoy” menu; none
of the others, file, edit, view, select, etc., appeared.
help would be appreciated.
servoy 2.0.3 build 267
mac os-10.3
Is there a dialog showing? Apple tends to turn menu’s off if for example the open dialog is showing, once you open a solution the menu’s reappear. If that is not the case: can you try Servoy 2.1 to see what that gives?
jan:
we found out last nite how to reproduce the problem:
- start servoy (no need to open a solution)
- minimize the widnow (on the mac, it goes
into the doc)
- show servoy’s about box (or preferences
to show the preferences dialog)
- click ok to close the about box (or cancel
to close the preferences box)
suddenly, servoy’s main window reappears,
with no menus. actually, the window you’re
seeing isn’t real: you can’t do anything with
it, or close it.
in truth, servoy’s main window is still in the
dock, and can be re-opened by clicking on it’s
icon in the doc. once this is done, the menus
reappear.
We’ll investigate if we can do something about it. It appears to be a problem with the way Apple’s Java handles windows. I recommend to also file a bug report with apple at:
