I’m having difficulty getting merge fields to be interpreted. The %% code is displayed in Ready mode instead of the field. I’ve tried both globals and standard fields, have put the fields themselves on the form to be sure the field has a value. Have tried it with HTML on and off.

Halt %%globals.gname%%? Halt %%user_name%%?

Have you checked the displaysTag property to on for that field?
