Message in lower left corner of Method Editor

From time to time messages appear in the lower left corner of the Method Editor. Currently it reads “void show() Show this form (making it visible)”. Earlier it said something in red but disappeared before I could capture it.

Would appreciate it if someone could brief me on the significance of this field.

I think you were looking at the explanation of the functions.When you click on one the explanation (showing the arguments needed) is shown in the lower left corner
