More than one level deep in portal

Hi All

I just returned from the training in Utrecht. It was nice to meet you all and get an introduction to Servoy. It certainly is a fine product and I am looking forward to getting to grips with it. I remember being told it was possible to display data from more than one relationship deep in a portal but cannot remember how to do it. Is it possible someone could give me a specific example of how to achieve this.

I know that with more experience it may become apparent that there are better ways (tab panels) to achieve this functionality but at this point I am trying to see what functionality that I use in FMP7 is possible in Servoy.

Hi Danny,

You don’t use PORTALS - you use TABPANELS. A tabpanel simpy shows a form - and that form can itself have a tabpanel. You can go as many levels deep as you need.

Hi Danny, yes, was really interesting in Utrecht!!!

In a form you can display a label with

a_to_b.b_to_c.c_to_d.field

drilling down 1 .. 2.. .3 … x levels in your relations
