Open Servoy–>Preferences–>DB servers
Server name: sqlservername_1234(DNS name)
User name: servoy (local username)
Password: servoy (local password)
Database Server URL: jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver://sqlservername-1234:1433;DatabaseName=servoytest1;SelectMethod=cursor
Few notes about the DATABASE SERVER URL that drove me nuts:
-
the sqlservername, SERVOY DOES NOT LIKE “_” (underscores), change it to Dashs “-”. or make your server name without any dash or underscores at all.
-
note also that the default for databasename has brackets “<>”, it keeps giving me log in errors. Take off brackets and it’ll work!
Leave everything else as default and click OK. You should be connected.
Hope this helps can save others time.
