Need Vegas input

Hello SAN members – this is a private SAN message, not for general public knowledge please.

We are trying to book a spot in Las Vegas for the 2008 ServoyWorld and have a couple of exciting options – but I’d like some feed back from you by Aug 7 (when I go to see them).

We can do it at the Ritz Carlton – for about $150 per night (YES, that inexpensive! at a Ritz!!) The catch is its in August – and it will be HOT (but they do have a fabulous pool and its on a lake as well).

Another option is at a JW Marriott (Marriotts best line – Ritz compatable) also at about $150/night. This property gets better reviews (e.g. at tripadvisor.com) and is suppose to have the largest rooms in Vegas. The catch here is its the week after labor day (an American holiday).

I am also looking at a Marriott (regular Marriott) about 1 block off the strip, where rooms would be about $200/night. For the most part, none of the “big” hotels (Venitian, Bellagio, etc.) will host a group as small as ours…that will have to be in future years (2010?!ha ha).

Finally – both properties are about 15-20 miles OFF the famous “strip”. We would have a shuttle and/or bus people in one night.

Thoughts? Comments?

Thanks for your input. Brenda

Labor day is in early Sept – so it will still be HOT (90s to 100s)

Labor day is always on a Monday. We would hold the conference

Tues - pre-conf classes, openning night (keynote, cocktails)
Wed - confernece
Thurs - conference
Fri - post conference
