Hi Marek,
During the installation of Servoy developer you will be asked if you want to install sample databases including data. For more information about the installation, I would watch this video: https://youtu.be/UHSRzMVwEpA
Regards Sanneke
Hi Marek,
Welcome to Servoy!
You should be able to install the example application from the package manager.
Help > Download/Install with Servoy Package Manager
Click the far right nav link “Solutions”
Choose “Sample Application”
This will install the sample application and load the sample data. Note: You must have a database connection configured called “example_data” per Sanneke’s advice above. If you don’t have Postgresql installed at all, then I recommend that you reinstall and be sure that you choose the option to install the database.
Hello sean,
thanks for your answer!
I installed the sample application with the installation of the servoy development environment. The cloudSampleSolution is available. Also the example_data database under Database_Servers. But the database has no data in it.
Is there a way to load the data?
I will try to delete the cloudSampleSolution and see if a new install of the “Sample Application” solves the problem.
best regards
Marek
Hello sean,
I installed the solution via package manager and it said “import data” but still no data in example_data.
I did the install with the cloudSampleSolution already installed. I can’t see how I can delete the solution.

Marek
Hi Marc,
I’m sorry that it is still causing trouble. The sample data import is skipped if there are any records already in the database. I don’t know why that would be the case, but it is probably easiest to just reinstall Servoy Developer. Be sure to completely remove the previous installation directory.
…or you can always install to a new directory.
Best,
Sean
Hello Sean,
install into a different directory also didn’t work.
Honestly its not clear to me why there is not a separate package available to import the data into the database.
This would also be beneficial if someone has played around with the data to get the initial state back.
best regards
Marek
Hi Sean,
after a new install on my Windows 10 machine it worked.
Thanks & cheers
Marek
Hi Marek, I’m sorry that there was trouble getting started. Glad you got it working. Good luck!
