No database connections

I’ve just done a new install of 5.2 and get the following error whenever I try and enable the repository server (all database servers after install show an error).

“Connection Refused chek that the hostname and port are correct and that the postmaster is accepting TCP/IP connections”

I’ve disabled the firewall and tried again but still get the same error. I’ve added a new Mysql database and that connects fine.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Did you check if PostgreSQL is running ?

Heres the log … theres no firewall running,

org.postgresql.util.PSQLException: Connection refused. Check that the hostname and port are correct and that the postmaster is accepting TCP/IP connections.

Firewall switched off, any suggestions as to why Postgres is not starting or fix ?

Is there a way to start postgres manually?

I’ve had the same issue on new 2003 and 2008 VPS servers. Therefore I can only assume something is not running on the servers which is required for the install.

I’ve had a look and compared the failed installations with a 5.2 install on windows 7 system and I notice the folder E:\servoy\application_server\database is empty on the the failing installs where as in the w7 install its full of files and folders. Is this related I’ve no idea what and how these folders are used in w7 and why on the w2003 an w2008 servers they are empty.

check this thread:

http://forum.servoy.com/viewtopic.php?f … 332#p81361

Thanks that thread had the solution.

This issue will be fixed in Servoy 5.2.5 (installation will work in C:\Servoy).
