I downloaded a trial last week, so I am new to Servoy. I spent the last days and nights on getting to know Servoy and I must say, I’m impressed!
My company spent the last 5 years developing commercial FMP solutions (i.e. ERP-solutions including a complete and robust accounting system).
After my review of Servoy Developer, my hands are itching to start converting our new release to Servoy, so the next release would also be available in Servoy/SQL.
I think every FMP developer with some programming skills should definately take a look at Servoy. It took me 3 days to get confident in using Servoy for doing the same tasks (and more) as in FMP.
We will continue to use FMP, because of the large installed based at out customer’s sites. But Servoy looks like a better alternative for large-scaled, robust solutions. So we plan to use Servoy for those tasks in the near future.
Now, let’s get to the point
On the internet I have seen some Office 2003 LAFS for Java. I tried to compile their source to .jar files, but I can’t get it to work. They just don’t show up in Servoy.
Anyone here using an Office2003 look-a-like LAF in Servoy and willing to share it? Or…anyone who can compile a working .jar of the source files I have?
It’s definately a Java laf, just check the content of the rar and compare it with one of the .jar files supplied with Servoy. You will see the exact same file-structure, same .class files.
Windows XP themes contain 2 files, 1 .DLL and 1 .msstyles file, so they don’t even come close to Java lafs.
hmm, I have never seen a java LAF being packed in a .rar…, if its true it contains classes unpack it and repack it in a zip, than it will work when placed in the lafs dir.
