I would like to open the import or export window (text or xls) by method!
because we default disabled this feature in the menubar for standard users.
But would like to use it for administrators.
I second this one, I was just the other day working on an excel export when I found out that you need to have the menubar enabled to make this work. Still thinking about an easy workaround.

Well, you can ofcourse use the Data plugin
Gives you scripting of import and export of excel, csv, dbf, txt and xml files. QuikBooks format is on its way.
input and output can be arrays of data or datasets…
