OS X sudden log-out

OS X 10.2.8, Developer 2 …

Today I launched Developer to have a quick look at something. Upon launch a window opened with the option to download the new updater. I clicked Cancel and opened the demo CRM solution. I decided to double-check what version of Developer I’m currently running and clicked on the Servoy menu.

Not sure if I got as far as selecting About Servoy, when very suddenly I was looking at a blue screen (freaked me out 'cause it reminded me of the Blue Screen Of Death on Windows), then the OS X log-in window appeared.

Upon log-in my desktop loaded for a few seconds, and then I got an alert saying something about Timbuktu Host couldn’t be used (my computer was not acting as a Timbuktu host, though it is set to allow connections).

Anyone run into anything like this?

Oddly (and thankfully) a long email I had just drafted to a client was actually saved when the sudden log-out happened…
