It’s great that you are releasing lots of new versions of Servoy itself, but when are you going to ‘update’ the various modules & solutions downloadable from the Package Manager, as a lot of them are now throwing up warnings etc. when used in the latest versions of Servoy?
If someone wants to start using Servoy by installing the ‘Sample Application’ (& it’s associated modules), there will be a lot of warnings that appear as you have updated other things in Servoy itself, like plugins etc., that now cause issues??
I, like I assume other developers, try to use your modules in the hopes of then having a solution based on ‘best practices’ as the modules come from Servoy, but these are now getting very out of date and if we try to ‘fix’ the errors in them to get rid of warnings, those fixes are likely to be over-written when you do eventually release an update…
This is now becoming very frustrating fro me as I am trying to migrate a very old Servoy 7 solution to ‘latest Servoy TiNG’, but have to dig through warning from my old solution & those from your modules… (as I want to use your sample solution as the starting framework).
(And all of this is on top of out-of-date/inadequate documentation)
Please can you let the community know when these things will be addressed?
Rafi, can you give me a list of the modules you use?
because the more modern one are updated now and then, but there are some that are kind of deprecated i think, we need to have a look
Hi, can you also please share which module version is used everywhere?
Last week, I did some releases that should fix some warnings and other issues.
I noticed I missed a few in svyLookup (2), so I pushed updates, and now I have 1 left.
svySearch also has 1 warning.
For svyUtils and svyNavigationUX, I have both at 0.
I will check svyPopupFilter and svySecurity, and I will fix the warning in svySearch.
