When I draw a poly object, the properties pane lets me define the line’s thickness but not its positioning. A field at the bottom of the window shows four positioning co-ordinates but doesn’t allow editing.

why should that be more precise as using the arrow keys?
Arrow keys are fine when precision isn’t an issue. Coming originally from the graphics industry I’m used to positioning objects numerically as in Adobe Illustrator, QuarkXPress, Photoshop, etc.
It would also be helpful to have snap-to guides, the ability to constrain the shape of an object with the shift key as one drags, etc. There’s a whole range of graphic design conventions Servoy doesn’t yet have which would be useful.
I’m still sufficiently green to be startled when expected graphic design tools just aren’t there. Hope this helps.
