Problem with Animated GIF

Hello,

I’m trying to display the following animated gif in the smart client:
http://www.entropysolutions.net/test/gears.gif

Displaying the gif in a browser works just fine, but in servoy it’s “heavily caffeinated” LOL. That is, the animation is very jerky:
http://www.entropysolutions.net/test/gears_movie.mov

Any ideas?

This is just one of those little things that don’t give full satisfaction… Can’t be helped.

Is there some bug with Java and animated GIFs?

No, it is not really a bug it is more the way Servoy is designed. My estimated guess (or is it hope) is that it will be solved over time.

Just for my own edification, what is it about the design of Servoy that produces this minor GUI issue?

I should have said it is a combination of factors.
Swing and Servoy as I am told.
