place about 6 six buttons on top of the form, right next to eachother. (about 10px x 10px) Make sure all the buttons have text in the tooltip.
Go out of design-mode and go with your mouse over the buttons.
You’ll see that all tooltip text of all buttons stays on the screen!
It doensn’t matter which SKIN is used!

Can you test it agains the latest 1.4.2? And if you still have it can you send me a sample solution?
The re-paint problems appear when you place a title-border right under the buttons (The tooltips appear than in the title-border. Not only tooltips, but valuelists (comboboxes) aren’t updated right in a title-border.
Uploading the solution is on the moment a problem, because I am on vacation and using my GPRS-account.
I am using now 1.4.2 and the problem still occurs. Again: also here I am using SKIN: KunstoffLookAndFeel with: WIndowsLookAndFeel it works fine!
comboboxes had the same re-paint problem inside a title-border.
