Remote upgrade Servoy Application Server

When I try to import a servoy solution build in 2.2.1r2 into a Servoy Application Server running in 2.1, I recieve an error message saying I need to upgrade to 2.2.1.

How can I do that remotely at the admin page http://ipsomething/servoy-admin ?
(It’s not doable for me to go to different customers with each new release and install updates there locally)

You have remote access to the server right?

When the customer is running a windows server you can use remote desktop to login and do the upgrade.

When the customer is running a non-server version of windows you can ask him (or do it yourself) install vnc server.

a remote desktop client is available for both mac and windows

When the customer is running OS X 10.4 you can check system preferences/sharing/apple remote desktop. Then you can use either ard or vnc to connect remotely

When the customer is before 10.4 or on linux you can, again, install vnc server and connect via vnc

Hope this helps…

Roger this! So the only option to upgrade the server is to upgrade the developer to the latest version, right?

What I would like is to do, is upgrading the server in the servoy-admin page, but that isn’t possible…

One other option would be to upgrade another machine and copy the files over to the server (all except the Sybase dir if you are using Sybase)
