I have a report with a subreport in it. It runs well in Ireport but when I want to run it from Servoy with the JasperPlugin I get the following error:

Does anyone knows what the problem might be?

What version of servoy JR plugin?
Have you set the reports directory in the Admin pages to the directory where the jasper report can be found?

That file doesn’t exist. But I don’t have any .jasper file for any report in that dir. Why isn’t it refering to tst_sub.jrxml? That is the subreport and that file does exist.
Without really digging into this. Maybe the Jasper plugin compiles on the fly if needed. Maybe it does not do that right (complete) if subreports are involved. It could be that the plugin does not compile if the .jasper file is present. Anyway, just try with a compiled version of that report in that directory.
The reports are all compiled. The .jasper file is in the following dir: C:\Program Files\JasperSoft\iReport-3.0.0.
When I copy that file into the dir of the reports I get a different error:

The sub-report has to be compiled from .jrxml to .jasper and placed in the same directory as the main report otherwise it cannot be found by the JasperSoft engine. Compile your sub-report from iReport (for example by doing a "compile’ or by a preview) then the .jasper file will be made. Copy this file to the directory specified in the admin pages.
I do not think the plugin it will compile sub-reports on the fly.

This NullPointerException could point to a library version issue.

Make sure that all libraries are in sync with the jasperreports version you are using.
