Hi Jeremy,
got a 3.5.0 for you, which you can update to 3.5.3
Hi Jeremy,
I pretty much have every installer that Servoy released including 3.5.3. But only the .jar versions, not the .exe.
If you are interested just give me a PM and I will give you an URL.
I have the 3.5.3.exe for you. Just send me a pm and I can make it available in our downloads section for you.
Please do not use 3.5.3 there is a security issue with it as pointed out here: viewtopic.php?f=16&t=9996
To other posters in this thread: please note that it is illegal to re-distribute copies of Servoy without explicit permission from Servoy.
Oops, sorry. So I don’t have 3.5.3 for you…

Jan, I don’t want to be offensive, but if we are not allowed to help, how can Servoy help Jeremy?
He obviously has a problem and the only thing he gets back is that there is a security problem and he shouldn’t use 3.5.3…

Maybe our answer was too short-sighted when our ‘help’ is offering Jeremy a new installer Marc.
Instead we could also tell Jeremy that downloading the latest version could be much better and much more stable.
Isn’t this a perfect opportunity for Jeremy to update?

I can see exactly where you are coming from with that comment Jan, however, since Servoy don’t have a download facility for older versions of the exe, folks are often going to get into trouble.
My own example was just last week. I ended up in an office with a clean PC and needed to install Servoy. Of course 411F was the only version on the Servoy site, and it later transpired that with this version it is not possible to make a clean install using MySQL (creates a repository with varchar columns way too big for MySQL to accept). Luckily I was able to source the 410F exe and got out of a hole, but it took 3 days to get there! Still if I hadn’t gotten that 410F exe my entire development would have been shelved for more than a week!
I intend to keep these installers available on my sync file in future, but would it be possible to have the last 2 - 3 versions available as a download on the site for this type of purpose?

I don’t understand what you mean with this. Let me make myself clearer:
Please note that I don’t have anything against you offering help but re-distributing discontinued versions of Servoy is simply illegal: it has nothing to do with my opinion, it’s the law.
Hi Jan,
I fully understand your point about illegal re-distribution.
Jan Aleman:
- If somebody really needs an older version a case can be filed in our online support system as I pointed out it is not legal to re-distribute copies of Servoy
As to speak for myself: I didn’t know that the support system could be used to get older versions (although this is also support ) and I think this is why Jeremy asked this forum for help.
Anyway, by posting this I think Jeremy now knows where to go…
Thanks for making it all clear to us.
Thanks everyone for your replies.
The situation is that the development server has crashed and died. The production server is up and running 3.5.3 and currently being connected to. I need to make development changes to be released into production ASAP. I don’t think it is a good idea to make development changes using 3.5.9, export a solution, and import that solution onto a production server running 3.5.3. It seems like the best solution for me at this point is to re-install 3.5.3 on a new server machine, make the necessary changes and deploy, and then upgrade when it is most convenient for the businesses and users involved dependent on the production server.
As per Jan, I will open up a support case on Monday.
Thanks again,
-Jeremy
