How can I run a Word macro from within Servoy
Which platform(s)?
On the Windows platform you can use Windows Script Host. Any application that exposes an automation interface (such as Microsoft Office applications) can be scripted via WSH.
Windows Script Host is easy and very powerful. In addition to controlling other applications you can also do a lot of other things with it. For example, you can save and retrieve data typed into a web page to the local hard drive. I believe I am correct in saying that any Windows PC with a recent version of Internet Explorer installed can run WSH scripts, because the script engine is automatically installed along with the Internet Explorer installation.
To locate books on WSH try typing in “Windows Script Host” at www.amazon.com.
With WSH you have to deactivate script blocking in your AntiVirus program.
I need a native solution (Windows only for the time being).
