Security add user

HELP! I went into security pannel and tried to add a user today and it won’t add the user. I get the dialog and add name and password click ok and nothing. I have never had this problem. Can anyone help!

Windows Server 2003
MSSQL server 2005

I tried that and it wouldn’t add a user there either

Are there locks on the table? If you use sybase, look in sybase central
