server security V4?

Just installed the v4 Beta:
Servoy version 4.0.0 rc5-build 619, repository version 35

Seesm to be working ok - but how do I setup security on the servoy-admin web interface? under 3.5 as soon as I added an administrator account then the web inetrface was protected and required authentication.
I have added and administrator account for 4.0 but never get prompted to login.
means my web admin interface is wide open on port 8080 - which is not too good :open_mouth:
is this a bug - or do I need to enable the security somewhere else in v4?

If you make your change through Servoy Developer, then you should see your web admin page secured right away.

You can access users and groups by right clicking the security node and clicking “edit users/groups” from the popup.

I have filed a case in the support system for the experience you had creating a user through the web admin.

Thanks,

Thanks Sean. I will certainly setup security that way…once I can get dev running under v4 :)
Problem is that I have to run this ona remote server that does NOT have a gui. Under 3.5 this would work just fine with x-forward within the ssh session to the remote server - so the x-windows would be diaplyed on my local (ubuntu) workstion.
With 4.0 this does not work. Whilst .jar files eg servoy_installer.jar) still work just fine using x-forward, the new ./servoy dev binary doesnt.
when I try to start it with x-windows forwarding enabled I get:

No fonts found; this probably means that the fontconfig library is not configured…

Now the new v4 dev does work when run locally on the ubuntu box - which implies that it does have the fonts it needs…but it wont run remotely…very furstrating.
