Servoy and Apple's Java Hardware Acceleration

Hi,

Can anyone tell me if Servoy under OSX uses the hardware acceleration in Apple’s JVM:

http://developer.apple.com/documentatio … index.html

I’ve not read exactly why, but Java apps under OSX are very slow compared to Linux and Windows, so any additional help would be nice.

Cheers.

The hardware acceleration worked only with Java 1.31.
It does not work with 1.4.x. I just tried the command line code.
( Think it is included already in 1.4.x)

Thanks to Apple Java Apps are really slow on Macs.
Use a PC and enjoy twice the speed…
Maybe Apple should let Sun make the work ?

I guess you’re wrong (fortunately) Rainer

Here’s what Apple says :

“With Java 1.3.1, you could explicitly specify Java 2D graphics hardware acceleration. With Java 1.4.1, hardware acceleration is handled by the Mac OS X Quartz Extreme graphics engine with no need for developer intervention.”

I’ve an older graphic bord and redrw performance sucks, I hop that’s because my graphic board doesn’t support Quartz Extreme.

I’d like to here the servoy team about that[/url]
