Servoy dead on my machine

Hi all.

I have several installs of Servoy. One of them is Servoy 4.1.7. It has numerous solutions that are in production and in development for my clients. I am running Servoy on Mac OS X 10.7 with java 1.6.0_29

During a Servoy demo on Friday, I tried to open my Servoy developer on my laptop to show an existing solution to a potential new client… I got the splash screen which has a progress bar which goes to about 93% and hangs. After it gets to that point, I get a message that my solution is being activated, and has a quick progress bar. Afterwards it hangs on the splash Screen forever (see attached screenshot). I managed to show the client the solution by connecting to the live solution via my iPhone / tethering, however it worried me that Servoy would not launch.

Today I have tried launching it, and find that it, and ALL previous backup versions so far of it do the same thing.

The hang does not prevent Sybase from starting up (Sybase runs no problem). The Servoy log complains about it2be, but doesn’t show much info (see attached)

Sybase log shows no problems (and as I said, Sybase runs fine.)

I would be grateful for any pointers on what to look for

Hi Bevil

Just a few suggestions in case you haven’t worked through them:

can you run Servoy 5 and 6 Developer - might be incompatibility between SV4 and OSX10.7 + latest Java
are you able to fire up SV4 Developer on another computer and comment out the IT2BE components
has Sybase been OK with that long field name in the past?
have you updated Sybase recently?

Good work by you doing the demo via iPhone - must have impressed them!

Best of luck

Different issue but this post has instructions from Scott Butler on how to change OSX10.7 from Java 1.6.0_29 to 1.6.0_26
