Servoy hanging due to ValueList clash.

I recently downloaded the latest version of Servoy (2.2.1 build 333). I am working on Windows XP.

I created two forms (“Company” and “Sector”) based on different tables, but both of which had a field which shared a common value list.

Forgetting that both forms shared this same value list I edited the value list in one form (the Company form) using the N-M option.

The result of this change meant that every time I went to the Sector form the system would hang because the ValueList was know causing a problem for it. It took me a while to work out why it was crashing but as soon as I deleted the offending ValueList from within the Sector form then the problem disappeared.

I’m sure I can. As I’m new to Servoy, could you just let me know where I find the solution file to send.

If you have a solution in youre developer then you can go to the Repository dialog, File->Repository

Then you can select youre solution and then export it (export sample data with it)

I gone to the repository dialog through file and I cannot see any option to export. Is this because I am trialing the product?

The only export button I see is on the File menu for excel, csv etc. I can’t see anything to export the solution.

Hi MerMer – not File/Export. File/Repository. Highlight the desired repository under your solution in the window that opens and click the Export to File button.

When I go to File/Repository I get a box which lists the solutions and a Styles tag. When I click on a solution the only options I have are the following.

Repository

Import
Import As

Solution

New Release
Rename
Delete
Remove Protection

Release

Load
Delete
Activate

I cannot see an export solution facility

open the node of a solution (hit the ‘+’)

than all releases appear!, now you can export!

Very strange.

I downloaded another trial version onto my other Windows XP desktop and when I go into the repository the export option is clear. However, on my other machine the export option does not appear.

Then you have to make youre dialog bigger.
