Servoy-Plugins.de: now free!

After Patrick Ruhsert joined Servoy DACH many of you questioned: what’s going to happen with the myriad of great plugins he’s been developing and supporting? Well there’s great news: They are now free! There’s only one plugin that cannot be made free due to dependency on commercial third party libraries: the Exchange plugin. All other plugins are free and you can download your copy and get a free license code at: http://www.servoy-plugins.de

Servoy and Patrick (personally) are sponsoring this effort to increase the freely available compononents and plugins to the Servoy ecosystem. If you want to contribute too: head to servoyforge.net and start or sponsor a project!

To fresh up your memory here are the key plugins you can now get for free!

  • Table plugin
  • XML plugin
  • MailPro plugin
  • DialogPro plugin
  • UserManager plugin
  • Google plugin
  • Phone plugin
  • JTapi plugin
  • FileWatcher plugin
  • TrayIcon plugin
  • PDI Plugin

and more! Head to servoy-plugins.de for a full listing and downloads

Yeah!! Two thumbs up for Jan & Patrick for making these components available for FREE! 8)

Congrats Patrick! Great stuff.

Free is good, but does this mean that they will be Open Source as well?
If so, there is plenty of room for you on ServoyForge ;)

And don’t hesitate to contact us if you need any help with that move…

And what about support now?
TO whom do we turn?

to support@servoy-plugins.de. All plugins will continue to be supported.

I am looking into that…

Great news Patrick! Congratulations!

Very cool news! Bravo.

Thanks too from me!
This really is a fantastic gesture and they are GREAT plug-ins.
I’m now asking my clients to look at them all to see where they might want me to take their solutions next :)

Thanks

This is great news for all members of the Servoy community!
Patrick has created some great plugins over the years.
Also his Exchange plugin (although not for free) works very nice!

Thnkx Patrick & Servoy!

Wow…this is a very generous gesture on Patrick’s and Servoy’s behalf. Personally, I have felt that there are core voids in Servoy as a product, and the addition of certain plug-ins (in particular, User Manager and Table) will remedy this. Thank you for providing them!

Patrick what’s the status of this? Is Servoy going to put these free plugins in ServoyForge?

As I said, I am looking into that. Why is that important for you?

This is how it happened: I am showing to a colleague ServoyForge. He liked it very much. Then I showed him the Forum. We saw this post and he said, let’s ask when all of these stuff is going to be in ServoyForge, I wondered why too. Though, I said, what the heck let’s ask. I thought you might have an answer already. Sorry man. — Chill out. I am not in a hurry. I am a fan of ServoyForge too.

Best, JC
