any news on this???

Thanks
Ahmad

Will the runtime be available by the end of this month or the beginning of next month??

Thanks

Will Servoy Runtime be capable to make multiple connections to databases?
I mean NOT multiple users, but multiple databases.
Like the way we have now, in Servoy Dev.
-Repository
-User Data
-Solution Data, etc..

There won’t be a repository database with the runtime. It will be possible to have multiple databases, in all cases they will have to run locally.

UPDATE: the runtime only has one database, if you currently use multiple you will first have to merge them into one database.

Quick update on the runtime. It’s in internal testing at the moment we hope to have a beta available really soon.

Hi,

Hope servoy runtime developer beta will be available very soon

Just curious about few info..

  1. which database (bundled) you will be using?

  2. Is it only single user?? (is it possible whether 2 users can open the runtime sametime?)

  3. Will it have a bulit-in install shield? (wizards to install the runtime version)

  4. How the upgrades will be done?

and anyother info..

Thanks
Ahmad

Servoy Runtime: Great news!!

Expecting this eagerly.

Cheers

  1. We are in final negotiations about the database
  2. Only single user
  3. Installation will not be necessary. It will work without any installation.
  4. There will be multiple easy ways to upgrade both solutions and the application code.

Thanks Jan, very happy about the easy upgrade. :) . (upgrade was never easy in FMP.. )

will it be similar to the runtime of filemaker or is it necessary to purchase a clientlicense ?

Hi Servoy people,

I know everyone of you is very busy and doing fantastic job. But can you please give me another expected date for this. I was of the impression that you were negotiating for the database with iAnyWhere for the runtime and it seems to be completed with the release of RC 11. I need another expected arrival date for the runtime version to tell my manager.

Thanks
Hameed

Great news!

I am eager to know the exact date of run-time availability. As it is a must requirement for my solution implementation, which is going to be released soon, I would better prepare myself by knowing the schedule.

Note, previously, Servoy guys were saying it will be ready by the end of January

It is included in the Servoy 2.0 rc12 released yesterday (we had some delay due to database issues)

Fantastic news. I am going to play with the runtime plugin and see the possibilities.

Thanks Servoy people.

Is the pricing for the builder available yet…?

Thanks

The price is expected to be $1999

Is it possible to make the runtime work longer than 5 minutes (i.e. for registrated developers)? Sometimes it takes more than 15-20 minutes to evaluate a software solution and 5 minutes is definitely too short.

Servoy_Server_Stack_Dump_During_Build.7z.txt (8.45 KB)

Is it possible to make the runtime work longer than 5 minutes

Yes! buy a license!

Yes! buy a license!

I would - but before would like to know how it realy works - and if all the functions I build it into a “normal” release are working.

Btw. would you buy a car after just looking it for 5 minutes, without test drive ???
