Servoy Server takes forever to start up

Hi all

I have a problem with my Servoy Server 3.1 on a 1.0Ghz Dual processor G4 with all the latest Mac OS X Server and Java etc.

When I start sh servoy_server.sh, it takes at least 5 minutes before the server is running. For about 2 minutes of this time, dbsrv9 pegs the processor (one of them) at 99 or 100%, it then quietens down and Java pegs it at 99 or 100% for another few minutes. Once that quietens down, Servoy Server has started. I haven’t seen this behaviour on any of our customers’ server machines and I’d be grateful if anyone has any idea of what might be wrong or what servoy is doing… Developer starts up as normal (in about 30 seconds) - and able to open and work with solutions. No hanging in dbsrv9.

Thanks for any help

Do you have a lot of versions of your app?

the versions of the 5 solutions on the server are: 1, 2, 1, 16, 1.

We have customers with solutions who have more than 16 releases without this slowness, although none of our customers have as many solutions on their server. Does that make a difference???

Thanks Jan

Strange. You could consider a reload of your database to see if that helps
