solution help systems

Does anyone have experience of developing and deploying an on-line help system for a servoy based soultion? If so I would love to hear some suggestions as to the best way forward on this - something along the lines of servoy’s own help system?

Yes, I’d like to know too.
As far as I know many help-solutions use html pages like Servoy does but I really don’t know how it is linked to desktop software (the help menu).

I know, servoy is using oracle-help
I have some experience with Robohelp

This is a solution in which you can build your own helpsystem an output it to Windows-help, Java-help, webbased, Flash, etc..etc..

The help-pages in Servoy is just html.

Look under: Servoy\server\webapps\roots\client_manual
there it is! You can replace it by your own!

Any url known?

You can replace it by your own!

I’ve looked into this some time ago but couldn’t figure out the structure. I supose it’s wise to let the names of the html pages unchanged?

No, if you start with index.html, you can do your own thing/structure after that!

for Oracle help: try google

I’ve started using HelpLogic - it will output to all sorts including web based, java, apple help, MS help, with pdf and printed output in next update. So far it is working really well and at $49 at the moment its a good price!

Fast response to support queries via email too!

Check it out at http://www.ebutterfly.com/helplogic/

HelpLogic is what I use too.. Very promising, nice pricing and faaaast responce to support/feature queries!

Not crossplatform :(

the output is cross platform (you might have noticed that our help works on mac too). If you are software developer today you need to have a pc and a mac anyway so that shouldnt be an issue. We’re not in the OR era anymore, we’re in the AND era.
