is it possible to make the splitter in a splitpane visible

You can set the divider size but that doesn’t show any widget (bullet, dots, etc) on the divider.
What you can do however is set a background color on your tabpanel (or the form behind the (transparant) tabpanel) or use a left/right, top/bottom border on the forms you load into this splitpane.
