In addition to the standalone installer (see Servoy Forge files section), this release features a new combo installer of Sutra CMS with Data Mosaic’s application platform: Data Sutra. This gives you a one-stop installation that gets you up and running in a few minutes. We’ve also posted a video going through the install motions.

New website running Sutra CMS. Bootstrap based theme, new markdown block for writing content, Servoy 6.1.4, hooked into their backend Servoy apps, etc:
Sutra CMS has been getting a huge kick in the pants over the past month. Goal is to get it a completely browser based application (no more java thin client) with advanced live mode editing capabilities. Troy and I recorded a short (7.5 minutes) video at the end of last week:
Covers our new layout block type (makes implementing twitter bootstrap based themes super easy), a bit on how the block builder works, live web page editing, and a sneak peak at the web client version (including our newly customized tree-view pane for the pages).
To make it so you can edit web pages directly we built an abstraction that sends messages between an enclosed iframe to the parent window and then on to Servoy. To the user, the CMS functionality is seamlessly part of their website when accessed through Sutra CMS.
Feedback very welcome. It’s a totally free and open source addon to Data Sutra (or can be used separately in your own apps) so if you want to try it out and need some pointers on where to get started with the latest dev version–hit us up.
