two fields turn red and lock up solution

I have two fields named:scan_head_handle and scan_tail_handle. When a new record is created, they are set to auto enter 4 in each field. When I change 4 to say 16. The 16 turns red, and it won’t save the record, it’s like it is locked.

Any suggestions?

Hi Jim,

What does Servoy show in the lower left statusbar ?
It normally will show some (error) message like “create record first” and such.

I think I found the problem. It had a format attached to the fields that servoy didn’t like once I removed the format info. everything is working fine.
