I have a global.name. field filled with a value “x”.
I have a list of preferences, all filled with the value “x” also in their ‘name’ field.
I then make a relationship between the two and make a valuelist based on that relationship.
On the ‘preference’ form, where this relationship is bound to I don’t have a problem using the valuelist.
On an ‘other’ form however, this valuelist does not show at all except… When I select the ‘preferenceform’ once and go back to the ‘other’ form.
What do I do wrong here? Shouldn’t a valuelist and relationship be globally useable?
Hope somebody can help me with this one!
Thanks,
Marcel

OK, I solved this by creating a new relationship and valuelist based on the same values but… now the global selected from the ‘other’ form/table instead instead of the preference ‘form/table’. Looks like make duplicates where life could be easier?!
Ciao,
Marcel
Related valuelists only work when one or more records in form are present, this might explain your problem?

Jan, records were present. No doubt! So that couldn’t have been the reason…
Is it possible to mail/post a sample solution which shows this issue?

I will try to isolate it Jan.
