Type Ahead

I have a search form that utilizes a global field. I have a value list that displays account names but returns the account number into the data provider (Global Field).

If I use a combobox as the value list display type, I get the required result. If I use the type ahead display type, when I select an account , nothing is inserted into the field and it remains empty.

Is this the expected behavior? I need this field display type to be type ahead.

this should work fine.
We have improved type_ahead a lot in 2.1.1 so it could be that youre problem will befixed in that version.
