adding fields to a portal

when i create a portal and want to go back and add another field(s) the field(s) are not part of the portal i can add a button or label and they work fine but not a field(s). what am i doing wrong? or do i have to start all the way over?

first, select the portal and than hit the add button! ;-)

i am sorry i don’t know what you mean by click on add? what i do is click on the portal then click on the place field on the toolbar. this seems to work until you run it. the field is up at top of the portal and just one field by itself it is not part of the list. i can do it with a button or label and those work fine.

that is what I mean! :-) so you are doing it right.
what is your Servoy version?

thank you. i thought i was doing it right like i said it worked for buttons and labels. i bet that is what it is. we are at 4.0.1. i will see if we can upgrade to the newest version.
