[Announcement] New Quickbooks Plugin Coming Soon

I have created a new Quickbooks plug-in for Servoy. The goal of this plug-in is to provide developers a more direct interface between Servoy and Quickbooks, without requiring each of their clients to purchase third-party “integrator” runtime software. This should drastically cut down on the costs of deployment.

We’re also looking into a secure client-server interface for those needing to run Quickbooks on a remote server. This will allow for cross-platform QB integration, and web client support.

More information and a method list here: http://www.prolificaxis.com/home/node/12
I’ll be posting more frequent updates on my site, so feel free to subscribe to my news feed if interested.
I’m estimating it to be completed within the next month, so sometime in March 2010.

I am also in the middle of writing a QuickBooks plugin :) Will your plugin support:
-QuickBooks for Mac and Windows?
-QuickBooks Online Edition?

Also, is your plugin depending on any other commercial libraries, or is the entire integration handled directly in your plugin?

Yes, it will support both Windows and Mac, including international versions (UK, CA, etc) and Quickbooks Online Edition. And no, it does not require any third-party commercial libraries.

Guess that makes three then

Although I can certainly see the advantage of having a non-third-party dependent version.
