Based on the number of responses, no…

I’ve seen their website and noticed quite some different QuickBooks versions, also an online version.
Which version do you want to integrate and did you ask QB which interface possibilities they offer for their versions?

We are in the middle of development of a QB plugin which will support Windows, Mac, and the QB Online Edition. Its really the Online Edition which is holding us up. If you just need desktop integration, let me know and we can see if we can get you testing an upcoming version.

Where is everyone with the development of the various QB integration plugins? Has anyone successfully deployed a solution to integrate QB and by what means were you successful? I need to integrate QB Pro edition 2010 for Windows into an existing Servoy solution.

In the past some Servoy developers used this:

Are you up to developing a Servoy plugin that wraps the QB integrator?
Is there a need (market) for this?
It can be expensive licensing according to the /n site.

There is a cheaper alternative here:

[EDIT] Actually, I just realized this is the same one, only sold cheaper and with no mention of site licenses???

Anyway, you will need a wrapper plugin around this lib though.

@ptalbot,
Patrick, I see that there is the option of a developer license and then royalty free “runtime”. So that might be affordable. Still, from the experience of some others it appears that the effort into developing the servoy plugin as a wrapper has a lot of testing involved with it.

Just interested in seeing what market there is (besides a minor interest by one of my clients and Keen Kenny).
Maybe a community based plugin would work? (With all due respect to the efforts of gold cougar).

You mean a community ‘sponsored’ plugin, of course?

Thanks for the suggestions.

I looked into the nsoftware solution and there is a wrapper Servoy plugin project already out there:

http://code.google.com/p/servoy-qb-plugin/

There doesn’t seem to be much activity within this project and the plugin itself doesn’t appear to load correctly within my Servoy Developer setup.

I contacted Scott Butler directly a couple of months ago, but it appears his project is not ready yet.

Is there anyone currently integrating Servoy with QuickBooks Pro desktop version (not online version)? Everything discussed in the past as far as plugins and wrapper plugins seems completely dead. The “community” plugin project (Google Code Archive - Long-term storage for Google Code Project Hosting.) seems to be dormant.

The way forward for connecting to Quickbooks is:

From a quick look at the QB site it seems that only web apps are described to interface. So nothing for smart clients like Servoy anymore. Or did I miss something?
edit:
maybe this still applies:
