I can’t make a portal with fields, transparent.
I’ll want to place a word: for example: DEMO (In big!) behind the portal,so it shines thru the portal.
I have set the portal to transparent and the fields alsoo, but nothing works.
bug?

The release rc6 says that this is fixed.
This is not completly true, only the portal transparency is fixed.
If you have no record in the portal, than the portal is transparant,
en the word: DEMO shows up!
but if you have records in the portal (even if fields are all transparent!) than the word DEMO (behind the portal) disappears again
Not at my place, cant reproduce it. The label that i have below the portal prints itself under the records.
Hey, didn’t know that but I have the same issue on OS X 10.3…
Can’t reproduce it mac also (on 10.3 and jdk1.4.1_01-99)
i place a label with a big text under a portal and that portal i make transparant (including the fields on the portal)
and it works just fine.
If someone has a sample that doesn’t work please send it over.
Johan, do you fill the portal with at least two rows to see what happens. It is, in my (OS X 10.3 rc8) case, not the portal but the fieldsthat lose their transparancy…
make the portal: multiline
than it does not function anymore!
