Copying multiple elements from one form to another

It seems like when copying multiple selected elements from one form to another it doesn’t remember the (relative) positions of the elements.
Is there a way to copy elements from form to form with having the relative position in between the selected elements remembered?

… I’m using 4.0.1 on a Windows machine.

It should be remembered, so when it does not you should file an issue in the support system.
