For some reason, when I created this paticular solution and entered some columns, Servoy went ahead and added an extra column that I can’t remove. Please see attached screenshot.
The extra column is named “dummy_col”, and when I try to remove it I get the following error: "ASA Error -143: Column “dummy_col” not found. I even tried first creating the dummy table and columns with Sybase Central 9.0.1, but Servoy still added this dummy column. The weird thing is that so far it’s the only table that’s affected. Other tables I’ve created are “normal”.
thats odd, so after a restart the column is there listend but it isn’t really in the database (looking at it with sybase central?)
What happens if you export it and import it again in a clean repository?
If you also have it then, please send us that solution (upload to our support system)
I think there’s actually something about naming a table “dummy” that triggers the creation this extra “pseudo” column. I can reproduce this on any database. Can anyone confirm this? NOTE: try this on a test database, not a production database.
Hmm, I think Servoy is already secretly working on some features asked for earlier like artificial intelligence. I can imagine they are working on tables like ‘dummy’, ‘smart-ass’, ‘stupid’, ‘intelligent’ etc.
