Install freezes

I downloaded the windows servoy 6.1.x exe installer and it freezes during installation.
I rebooted my machine closed everything tried again and it froze again.
I downloaded the exe again and tried again it froze again.

Windows7x64 running as administrator.

I have to use the task manager to kill the install application.
I let it sit and run all night last night, so I know I gave it plenty of time.

I downloaded the Jar file and tried that, it froze also.

I downloaded the older version 6.0.x and it froze also.

I reinstalled java and verified it, it still froze.
I changed the workspace directory.
I selected all optional components.

No luck, still freezes during install.

at what time does it freeze?

Using only the standard modules that are pre selected, it freezes on 10/10 with the top progress bar at 50%.

selecting all modules it freezes at 12/12 with the top progress bar at 50%, so i assume it freezes on the last module, whatever that may be.

thats installing the database, are you use you waited enough time?
That also takes quite a bit time for me. If you look at the taskmanager is something also busy?

I let it sit overnight. Postgres.exe seems stuck on 25% cpu. Javaw.exe is on 0%cpu but the memory changes slightly every now and again.

yes so postgres is really initializing the standard databases.

Also, when I try to run the installer, it tells me that there is already and instance running. Even if I reboot my computer.

So what do I need to do?

instance of what? Posgresql? then you just already have a database running as a service
