For many good reasons, from 1,5 years ago, I have been intersted in using servoy for working. My goal was 1)to develope a basic solution for invoicing and store(movements) to put in the place of a software that we use under unix sco, 2)to buy the licences, 3)to learn more about Servoy and to improve the solution.
I have had an excellent help, on this excellent forum, in order to learn how to use basic methods to get an invoice (serched combox effect, date, etc).
After some months, serious problems obstructed to continue. But now, problems have had solution and I have to continue with Servoy Project.
I made an analysis and I find 5 difficulties in ending solution:
1)How to import in invoice fields of client (name, address, etc)
2)How to import in invoice fields of article(id, name, code, price, etc)
3)How to do so that when i put a new record for article i do not have to
create a new record for invoice?
4)How to otain total?
5)How to update store?
I know that 5 problems are too many.
But i prefer Servoy to others.
So i think that to visit and to study a simple and basic solution for invoicing could help very much.

i had a corrupted crm, then, before importing it again
I deleted tables; now i have crm of old version, but tables are not populated, an i am not sure that all is ok. One reason is that when i go in order_Details i do not find any method to make newRecord in portal where
are (Description; price;total etc).
In order to resolve this problem i tryed to install new download version without removing old, but, during installation, after I have typed the directory in which Servoy will be installed, the installation stops itself.
Probably if I had a crm file of my version (r2, 20 rc13) i could resolve.
But any person who knows servoy could resolve this problem which is stupid in itself but not for me beginner

Would it be possible for you to do a complete new install or is there any work you would like to preserve in your current Servoy environment?
If so, just do an export of the solution(s) you would like to keep and place them outside the current Servoy directory.
-Run uninstall or rename your servoy dir to “servoyOld”
-Run new install with latest (beta) version
-import the solution(s) you previously saved.
When you’re set again I’ll be happy to assist you through the 5 difficulties you mentioned earlier in this thread.
