Just a heads up:
Latest Apple Java Update (Java for Mac OS X 10.5 update 7/Java for Mac OS X 10.6 update 2) implements the signing requirement that Oracle/Sun implemented with their update 19/20.
So if you are not ready for this yet then stay away from this update.
Hi, I’m just at a client where one user has updated Java accidentaly and she can’t get it. What is the best way to revert the Java update?
Christian
I have not tested this for J1.6 but he/she should be fine again when you copy the folder /System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.6.0 from another mac (and include the symbolic links as well).
I do the same for older Java versions.
Thanks Marcel, that worked.
Before that I tried downloading the JavaForMacOSX10.6Update1.dmg, but it refused to install since I’m already on the later version.
