Mac stalls at "Start repository"

In short, a couple of Mac Minis running Lion cannot start an old version of Smart Client (really old… 2.2.7).

Downloading the jnlp appears to be OK, but attempting to start the Smart Client gets stuck with “Start repository” displaying on the lower-left of the main window. There’s also a pop-up window, but both the pop-up and main windows are otherwise blank. The client’s java console stops at “getWebStartUrl http://xyz.localnet:8080/” (with that line twice).

The clients are Mac OS-X Lion on a 2010-model Mac-Mini with Java version 1.6.0_26.

Upgrading OS-X to 10.7.1 hasn’t helped.

FWIW, Servoy server is running on Linux with Java version 1.5.0_14-b03 and swingbeans.jar has been removed.

Older MacOS clients (e.g. PPC with OS-X 10.4) work OK.

Any ideas (save the obvious one of upgrading Servoy Server to something less ancient (and supported) - which seems like a good idea anyway)?

Thanks,
Neale.

Neale,

We have made some workarounds in the past to bugs introduced in the java implementation on the mac.
Not all of these have been added to the old and unsupported versions of Servoy.
