Just to let you know that MySQL Administrator, in my opinion the best admin front-end utility for MySQL, is now available for MacOS X.

Very nice application. If it also had a query tool…

They’re porting the MySQL Query Browser too, now they have a Cocoa programmer and the porting should be a matter of weeks.

Navicat!!!

I swear by this. They have Mac and PC versions. It even includes a GUI query builder and in the PC version a GUI report generator (comming soon to mac). I do not use the GUI query builder much, but it has a ton of features and looks “Made-for-mac”. a great interface and includes all the features you would want for mySQL administration, and a few you may not have thought of.

I would definitely take a look at Aqua Data Studio as well (especially if you are purchasing such a tool). It is a free development tool, Java-based and connecting to all JDBC-compliant databases like Servoy. The developer of ADS is amazingly innovative and quick to respond to suggestions just like the Servoy team. Perfect complementary tool to Servoy I find (also supports all platforms - PC, OS X, Linux).

I think that ADS 4 is free if it is educational or personal use.

There is an earlier version (2.0.7) which is free to all users now.

But superb tool nonetheless !

Also for OSX there is MacSQL which seems somewhat pricey but worth a look as it also has a FM synchronisation tool built within it which may assist with conversions or co-existing with an installed FM solution

Just to let you know: MySQL Administrator as well as MySQL Query Browser are now available for the Mac in decent working versions.

There even are official installers available now for the latest server release (4.1.12) and beta (5.0.x)…

I appreciated you called the Mac versions “decent”: a db management tool that doesn’t allow the user to remotely manage a database has a lot of improvement margin.
