I can still occasionally get a ‘loading’ option visible in the database listing on the left side of the Define Dataproviders dialogue and it will NOT show the DB listing.
I can always track this down to when a DBMS is off the radar for some reason but it is still annoying.
I have five DBMS set up through Preferences supporting a varied array of solutions:
Sybase on localhost
MS SQL on one server in office
MySQL on another server in office
MySQL on remote host at ISP
MS SQL on remote host at ISP
Occasionally someone will take down one of my office servers for maintenance etc and then I will get the ‘loading’ option which then just stays there until I track down which DBMS has the problem and get it back on line !
Anyone else get these problems still ?
