Problems with umlauts in the browser when using Linux Server

Hello,

we’ve noticed that there’s an issue with umlauts on Linux Servers, when using a html area and when using lables which contains HTML.

When we start Servoy Server on a Windows machine, the umlauts will be displayed correctly.
When we use a Linux machine to run Servoy Server, the umlauts will be shown as “?” or a box (see screenshots).

Thanks,

Alexander Stefan

are you sure that the database does it correctly?
Is your database in UTF-8?

It seems to me that it is stored in a charset that windows knows but linux doesnt

just to test your browser. What does your browser say what charset the page is in?

Firefox: Page Info and the encoding

IE: View menu → Encoding , wat is here selected?
