After installing Servoy 4.0 on our server, we log into the web-based admin pages, went to the ‘License’ page, and entered our developer license code (from version 3.5). After clicking the ‘Check code’ button, we got the following message:
“You currently have a valid NON commercial use licenses, which allows 5 clients to connect.”
Also, when we attempt to put in our seperate client license code, we get a message stating that this license is invalid. We are current on our licensing fees. Do we need a different license code for version 4.0?
The reason I am asking is that when a remote Developer session tries to check out solutions, we get the following:
“Cannot get solutions from: OurServerIPAddress
Application server does not accept client connections.”
I read elsewhere that this could be a port 8080 blocking problem, but we (temporarily) turned off Windows Firewall on the Developer computer, and the problem persists.
When you fill in the correct 3.5 client license info (or even v2.2) and you have an up to date subscription license for those then Servoy Server will update to the new 4.0 licenses automatically. If that doesn’t happen for you and you do have an up to date subscription license for these then I suggest you email sales@servoy.com and ask them to send you the 4.0 license numbers.

You maybe not know this but when used for non-profit you can use Servoy for free with up to 5 (client) licenses. So that’s what this message refers to.

Thanks, Robert…I was unaware of the ‘non-profit’ mode. I’ll contact Servoy to get this cleared up.
